Scorpions

The scorpion falls within the class of Arachnids. This pest has eight legs and is easily recognizable, by their two grasping claws and narrow, segmented tail. The scorpion's tail is characteristically curved forward, over the back; and ends with a venomous stinger.

Experienced pest control professionals and exterminators, have told us that scorpions are nocturnal and fossorial, finding shelter during the day in the relative cool of underground holes or undersides of rocks; coming out at night only to hunt and feed. Scorpions exhibit photo-phobic behavior, primarily to evade detection by predators such as birds, centipedes, lizards and rodents.

  1. I think that it is safe to say that scorpions will not attack, unless confronted and (intentionally or unintentionally) provoked. Nevertheless, an accidental encounter could result in a painful sting, and the need for a reliable exterminator service; to address unwanted scorpion visitors.

  2. Although scorpions are a little scary looking, there are very few members of the species with venom, potent enough to concern people. Nevertheless, when homeowners spot a scorpion, they are often eager to employ pest control services; to prevent an invasion.
