Mealybug Destroyer

The Mealybug Destroyer is a natural predator of all species of mealybugs. As well, this beneficial insect is also known to prey upon aphids and soft scale; when mealybugs are in short supply.

In the United States, the Mealybug Destroyer has proven its usefulness as an effective natural exterminator and pest control method. In fact, this beneficial insect has been credited with completely controlling the citrus mealybug population, in the U.S. State of California.

    Often after releasing this beneficial insect, the pest control problem will appear to worsen. This is attributed to the fact that Mealybug Destroyer larvae, are often similar in appearance; to the targeted pests.

    The Mealybug Destroyer was imported into the United States in 1891 from Australia, to provide natural pest control services to the California citrus industry; in their battle against the citrus mealybug.
