Harvestmen

Harvestmen, more commonly known as "Daddy Long Legs", are not true spiders; but are very close relatives. Furthermore, Harvestmen do not bite or sting, they do not possess venom, and they do not create silk for webs.

Often discovered in large numbers around structures and inside buildings, Harvestmen are nocturnal hunters, that can offer excellent pest control services; against common garden pests.

  1. At first glance, the Harvestmen is sometimes confused with the Cellar spider, because of it's long-thin legs. If unsure about the invading species, homeowners should seek the expert advice of a pest control professional or exterminator.

  2. Wow! Who would have thought that the Daddy Long Legs was not really a spider? They don't bite or sting people, they have no venom and no web. Instead, the Harvestmen is an efficient natural exterminator, of several common garden pests.
